Tart, crisp and refreshing

I tend to find zero alcohol wines taste rather too close to simple grape juice drinks, but Adnams have put a lot of work into their low alcohol wines, and I think they’re a cut above the rest. This is made with Sauvignon grapes from de-alcoholised wine using the state-of-the-art spinning cone technology to remove the alcohol.
It’s crisp, tart and refreshing, not too sweet or too heavy. A long sip fills my mouth with a pleasing level of acidity, causing me to draw in my cheeks as I enjoy the notes of lime, apple and passion fruit. The finish is long and complex and there’s a rounded, well-balanced mouthfeel.
I imagine it would make excellent summer quaffing, perhaps with some sparkling water in a spritzer. Well worth keeping in the fridge for people who don’t want to drink.
