Review

This is another lovely Piedmont Moscato, packed with the expected flavours of apricots, honey and, of course, grapes which flow like a rich sauce across the tongue.  The sweetness is cut somewhat by the light acidity and the gentle spritz, but this is definitely one of the richer Moscatos, nearer to being a dessert wine than an afternoon quaffer, although well chilled on a sunny day by the pool it could work perfectly.

Makers Notes

Araldica is Piemonte’s largest, most progressive co-operative yet retains a small, family run company feel thanks to the inspired guidance of winemaker/manager Claudio Manera (whose father Livio was the co-op’s first winemaker in the 50’s) alongside his wife Lella, also a winemaker and in charge of Quality Control.

“I love this wine. It is pleasantly sweet, with flavours of lemon and rose and an enjoyable fresh aftertaste that finishes with a well balanced acidity.” Claudio Manera, Winemaker.
