An interesting dry, good VFM quaffer

This wine is interesting as it is made from an exotic combination of unusual grapes (Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Gros Mansen) and it is somewhat low ABV for a wine that hasn’t set-out to be low. As such it is a Cotes de Gascogne classic and these are worth looking out for if you’re happy with a wine at around the 11% ABV. It is refreshing to drink – definitely dry and nice fruity notes with a rough lemony finish. Majestic say this 2019 vintage won a duo of silver medals in France but I don’t know where. All in all, it has French provincial charm which I think you’ll appreciate if you like a bit of rough dressed as a fuller bodied Sauvignon Blanc.
