Strawberry and cherry zing
This claims to be approximating to the taste of a pink gin, but is riffing on the theme of pinkness by adding the flavours of strawberries and cherry blossom. The result is a rather pleasing drink with deliciously distinctive soft fruit front notes that give a passing nod to the flavour of childhood Chewitts before moving firmly off in more adult directions with the subtler taste of rose hips and the long lingering bitterness from the juniper. The flavours work beautifully together, coming as close as they dare to being too sweet while never actually making that mistake. I like it a lot, but I’d hazard a guess it will work best for people who also like liqueurs. Possibly not for beer drinkers.
