A crisp, flavour-packed and very moreish pale ale
The turquoise-on-blue label and unalloyed “Organic” name suggest something pure and coolly refreshing, which this pale ale certainly is. But they do nothing to tee up the clean, almost piney top note and zesty burst of orange flavour that comes at you first on the nose with the creamy pour; then, in the satisfyingly complex range of flavour the follows on to the palate. A lovely, soft, foaming mouthfeel means this Organic Pale Ale is surprisingly full-bodied for a beer that’s so refreshing – with light caramel notes rising to bursts of citrus orange on top. It’s a combination the works surprisingly but amazingly well, all the way through to a finish that retains just the right amount of hoppy depth. All in all, a crisp, complex, crisp and very moreish beer, and definitely the one from Nirvana’s range of excellent pale ales that would be refilled most regularly in our fridge.
