A delicious low alcohol sparkling wine

This is a really nice low alcohol sparkling wine. It has real body with a slightly unctuous mouth feel, an attractive, peachy fruitiness that avoids the citrus overload in many no/low alcohol sprinkling wines, is well balanced and not sweet and has a surprisingly real and long finish. Few equivalent wines achieve all this.
Curiously, we tried this wine back-to-back with an apparently identical version from Tesco. The come from the same Spanish manufacturer and they shares the same ingredients – de-alcoholised wine, grape concentrate, glycerine, preservatives, malic acid, citric acid and, to mu surprise, milk proteins. But surprisingly they taste quite different, with the Asda version coming out much the better. I’d be delighted if anyone could explain to me how that happens?
Brimming with mouth-wateringly fresh lemon, lime and gooseberry flavours, this is a delightful sparkling drink. |
